Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) is a model of value creation that involves the acquisition of an existing, profitable business by a qualified manager (Searcher), with the support of investor capital. Unlike the high operational risk associated with venture capital models, ETA is based on the acquisition of stable cash flows and their professionalization.
The role of the Searcher is:

An experienced private equity manager and a pioneer of the Search Fund model in the Polish market. He began his activities in the sector Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) in 2020 as one of the first initiators of this model in the country, introducing international investment standards to the domestic succession market. Michał possesses unique, comprehensive experience in the life cycle of a search fund: from successfully raising capital and identifying targets to completing the acquisition of a mid-sized company. For nearly three years, he served as the chairman of the board of the acquired company, responsible for its professionalization, operational transformation, and building long-term value. At KOVA Capital, he combines years of experience from the Private Equity sector with practical operational knowledge gained at the helm of a Polish enterprise. His mission is to support a new generation of managers in safely and effectively transitioning from Searcher candidates to competent CEOs, minimizing transactional and operational risks at every stage of the process.
